Kava Swap (SWP) is a management token of the decentralized Autonomous Market Making protocol to provide a method of exchange between the world's largest assets. The token is used to vote on changes to parameters in the Swap app and changes to LP rewards for Swap pools. In addition, the token holder can vote for proposals that update or improve the functionality of the Swap app.

The kava-8 upgrade which includes the launch of Kava Swap will occur on Monday August 30th at 13:00-15:00 UTC. (It has already began)

This is a reminder that users will not have access to the chain for approximately two hours. Please make any adjustments to your positions in advance of the upgrade. This also includes loading and unloading funds to the blockchain. No further action is needed from users for the upgrade. Funds remain safe and secure throughout the entire process.

Also, be aware that the chain won't instantly restart at 15:00 UTC. We will announce when the first block of kava-8 is created on Telegram and Discord channels, and users can monitor blockchain activity with the following explorers:
